2 Ways to Invest in the Forex Market

There is an alternative to trading in the currency market.  You don’t have to setup shop as a forex day trader to get into the market.  You can invest in the market and know nothing about complex technical analysis and charting techniques.  You can if you’d like, but it’s not necessary.

The first way to do forex investing is to find a country which you think has potential to grow over time.  If you know a developing country with a fast and strong emerging market, you can buy their currency and hold it looking for it to grow in value over the long term.

If you strongly believe in the strength of that country’s economy, than you can confidently ride out any short term volatility and fluctuations in price.  You can look at it like every other kind of long term investment you make in a solid company with inherently good fundamentals.  So it’s kind of like doing fundamental analysis on an entire country.

The second way you can invest in the forex market without having all the headaches of trading is by using a forex managed account.  These are kind of like mutual funds or hedge funds, except they exclusively deal in foreign currency exchange.

Just like a mutual fund or hedge fund, there is a professional money manager who has traded the forex market successfully and is now doing it on behalf of others with their money.  This way you leverage many years of expertise and experience.  And you don’t have to spend your time or money to do it yourself.

In addition, many companies generally have propriety software and strategies that you would never be able to replicate in a million years.  You can leverage not only their experience but also their technology.

There are management fees associated with forex managed accounts, but they are negligible if you see considerable return on your investment into these accounts.
